DPRK leader Kim Jong-un arrived in Beijing. The operators of the Japanese television company Nihon Television Network withdrew as he descended from the side of the government aircraft.
According to Flightradar24 portal information, the plane of the North Korean state-owned airline “Koryo” that landed at the airport in Beijing is the one on which the North Korean leader flew to Singapore last week to meet with US President Donald Trump.
It is expected that Kim Jong-un will meet with Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to discuss the US-DPRK summit on June 12 and further negotiations. The visit, according to Xinhua, will be held on June 19-20.
The leader of the DPRK and his wife made an unofficial visit to China on March 25-28. It was his first foreign trip after coming to power in 2011, but it was not reported until its end. The second visit of Kim Jong-un and negotiations with Xi Jinping took place on May 7-8.
In Singapore on June 12, the first ever US and North Korean summit was held, where Trump and Kim Jong-un met. According to his results, the American leader said that he had signed a “detailed document” with the DPRK, and noted that the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, which the world community is seeking from the DPRK, will begin “very quickly.”
In turn, Kim Jong-un called the signing of the document a “new start” in relations between the two countries and promised “big changes” in the future.
Also, according to the document, the US pledged to provide North Korea with security guarantees, and Pyongyang reaffirmed the firm commitment to the full denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, which the world community is seeking from it.
