South Western monsoons have crossed Maharashtra and moved north. The weather forecast said the effect of these monsoons could be delayed in other parts of the country except in Peninsular India. The heavy rains and strong winds in the western Himalayas region, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh will come in the next 24 hours, the weather ministry said.
Northern Limit of Monsoons is moving across Thane, Mumbai, Ahmednagar, Buldana, Amravati, Gondia, Tithalagar, Cuttack and Midnapore. Southwest monsoon is likely to weaken in the next 5-6 days.
According to the Met department, the normal rainfall in Central India would be lower than normal in the south, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry. North East India reported low rainfall. Annual rainfall is estimated at 101 percent.
